Instant Pot Ace Blender Not Working? Here’s how to fix it.

Instant Pot Ace blender is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I am not only a lover of smoothies but also fresh juices. It is also amazing how this Instant Pot blender blends and softens my baby’s food.

The high speed and accessible settings make this cooking blender the best choice in any kitchen. It is so surprising that, at times, it stops working. Why not work all of a sudden? That’s only a wish, but you can make it work! Let’s fix the issue here.

Reasons For Instant Pot Ace Blender Not Working and How to Fix:

First learn why your instant pot Ace blender can stop work and then scrutinize the problem and find fixing solution. Don’t go far. Here, we have discussed about reason of not working your blender and also troubleshooting for you:

  1. Quantity Of food

Large quantities of food can harm your blender. When you add excess ingredients to the blender jar, you subject your machine’s engine to wear and a sudden breakdown. With time your blender will stop working and require extra cost to repair.

Any extra stress on the blades may also cause your Instant Pot Ace blender to stop working. Stop adding large chunks of frozen fruit, as they also interfere with your gadget’s performance.

Always check the quantity of food that a blender can hold. The jar comes with levels that you should not exceed at blending time. Check the markings on the side of the jug, as they are an inch below the brim.

Your blender will do a fantastic job when you feed the jug with the correct quantity and type of food. Too much food doesn’t mean more output. The blender will stop spinning and shred your items as the jar becomes heavier. Reduce the quantities and blend your food in bits.

  1. Ingredients

The lack of some ingredients in your blender recipes causes the blender not to work. For instance, if you exempt water or liquid while blending solid food, the blender will slowly stop working. Solid foods such as potatoes, fruits, and pumpkins require different soups, water, cream, or your favorite liquids to blend smoothly.

Another culprit for a slow or failed blender is shredding veggies without adding some water. Vegetables do not contain many juices to allow smooth blending. As the paste becomes thicker, it will need cups of water to grind. That will prevent slowing or abrupt stopping.

Observe the proper ratio of ingredients while blending. That will fasten the process and contributes to its proper functioning. Each smoothie in your recipe book comes with ratios and ingredients to make your work easier. Do not guess the measurements.

  1. Hard Foods

The work of a blender is to shred and mix foods into pulp. And as we said, the recipes will tell you what liquids to add to your food. Depending on the menu’s recommendations, you can add water, cream, etc.

But things will get thicker and stop if you decide to test your blender with harder items. Ginger roots, dry seeds, ice, and raw potatoes are not “blender-friendly.” Unless you pre-boil potatoes, do not crush them with your blender.

And if you need to get a ginger root or raw potato pulp, you better slice the ingredients into tinny portions. Avoid blending hard nuts and dry cereals. Those will damage your appliance. Also, dense ingredients can break your blender blades and motor.

When the latter happens, your blender stops working. Get prepared for high motor replacement and other parts repair costs. A food processor or food chopper will serve you better if you need to blend hard foods.

  1. Locking status

Placing the blender jar on the coupler is not enough! Even if the machine has the correct voltage, you will have to wait forever to turn on your appliance. The right way to place your blender is to ensure it locks. After setting it, ensure that you turn it in for locking purposes.

The Instant Pot Ace blender’s manual has a section for fixing the jar in place. You are probably missing out on some steps. Or you are rotating it anti-clockwise.

And how will you tell that it is ok? There should be arrows on the jar and the blender to show you when the positioning is correct. Also, the locking mechanism allows a clicking sound. It will click when you place and turn the jug on the coupler.

Improper locking of a blender will not let it work for safety reasons. You could figure out working with a blender jar that’s not locking. With the electrifying rotating speed, it will spin its way out of the coupler, break up and mess up your kitchen. But not with the Instant Pot Ace blender. That will never happen, as without locking the jar in place, the appliance won’t work. So, fix the problem by ensuring an appropriate lock.

  1. Power problems

When there is a power problem, your blender cannot work. The energy drives your gadget. You must connect it correctly to the power source before commencing your blending process. Your Instant Pot Ace blender will require plugging and switching the socket to ensure energy flow.

You can as well check on the power cord and plug of your blender. Ensure that these two are flawless. The cable must never have dents and cuts. These two cause power leakage and cause your appliance to stop working at blend time.

Also, the appliance cord should be the original one that came with your blender. Do not swap with another appliance, as the voltage may not be similar. The plug, too, must be working for your device to function.

Resolve missing or loose pins or faulty fuse issues to guarantee smooth energy flow—enough voltage and proper current flow to enable the blender to function correctly without stopping.

  1. Thermostat Failure

A thermostat controls the temperature/heat in your blender. When the unit fails, the cooling system stops working. Electric appliances such as your blender require cooling, which should be consistent and not fluctuating.

The spikes and drops will cause overheating in your blender and eventual failure. Fortunately, the thermostat is replaceable. But you need an appliance technician to tell you that it is the cause of your blender’s failure. Ring the consumer helpdesk to get a specialist for your blender.

  1. Lid Position

The wrong lid position of the blender will not let you work. It will raise the alarm to inform of an error code on the small display. Unless you clear this display error, your blender will remain mute.

Good enough, the display indicates the type of error as LID. I bet that’s smooth for your to resolve. Remove the lid and position it correctly. Enjoy as you watch your blender function desirably.

  1. Maintenance

When a blender stops working even after checking on the basics, have technical personnel check its functionality. The helper will determine the significant cause and make any repairs that are beyond your capability.

Honest personnel ( from Instant Pot Ace) will also tell you if your gadget is obsolete so that you won’t have to spend on parts replacement. Have a regular schedule to service and check your blender.

Proper maintenance saves a lot of cost at the expense of getting a new one for replacement. For example, the team can identify high energy consumption due to a bad circuit, loose terminal blocks, worn-out wires, et cetera.

  1. Workload

Treating your home blender like a commercial-grade appliance leads to overworking. The device is enough to feed a few people with smoothies and juices.

Using the blender for a restaurant setting overworks your machine and subjects it to fast wear and tear. Be gentle with your gadget by using it for its recommended work. That way, it will last longer without repairs and replacements.

Do not grind a pound of fruit for dozens of guests or customers in your restaurant. Buy a commercial-grade blender with more output and easy operations. You will also find it time and energy-saving.

  1. Dirt

Though the cleaning process is part of your blender’s maintenance procedure, I chose to handle dirt as a cause for your blender not working independently. Some users leave the blender dirty throughout their lifetime. This issue is not specific to the instant pot ace blender but also other appliances. The primary focus is on the jar, thus forgetting about the body.

Besides wiping the body to ensure it shines, you must unclog the activators and vents. The covering has holes when you observe the sides or rear of your blender. These are the vents that ensure that your blender breathes out hot air. It breathes cool air through the narrow gaps.

The cooling process during blending prevents overheating. When the vends are extra dirty and the dirt has blocked the holes, your blend will overheat and stop working. You do not need water to unclog your vents. Use a brush to remove the stuck dirt on the pores.

DIY experts advise blowing off the appliance interiors and the vents. You can use a hair blow dryer at a low setting but with an unplugged appliance.

Or you could visit an Instant Pot Ace blender’s service center for a clean, professional exercise. That is an aftersale service that shouldn’t cost you a penny. And if you must pay, it is little money for the maintenance service.

Limit dirt accumulation by storing your appliance in an enclosed space when you are not using it. Maintain the activators clean for proper signaling when powering the device.

  1. Blockage

There could be a blockage on the blades. If that happens, some blenders will turn on and stop working. Until you remove the obstructing objects, the blender will not turn on. Empty your ingredients in a clean bowl and inspect the base of the blades.

A rubber band, a pin, a cork, or other objects can obstruct your blades and cause the appliance to stop. When you turn on the device, and there are foreign objects other than food ingredients, your machine might produce an abnormal noise before stopping.

Any blockage between the coupler and the jar cannot allow blending. Before using your appliance, inspect the pot and other accessories to ensure a smooth operation.

Instant Pot Ace Blender Not Turning On

If your Instant Pot Ace blender is not turning on, it has locked you off its operations. You cannot grind your food because of the error. Either the functions are failing, or you are not following the instructions. You aren’t alone in this muck! Whatever is happening is familiar in many blender models. Resolve the issue here.

  • Cord Plugging

Your gadget has a cord to allow plugging on the power source provisions. If you improperly plug the power cord into a power source, it will not allow a complete electric circuit. Insert your blender plug correctly and ensure it fits the socket.

Look out for broken pins and replace the plug. Sometimes, the plug may look intact but have a misplaced fuse or a blown one. Open apart the head and replace the fuse. Insert the plug fully into a working power outlet to turn on your blender.

  • Power Source

Sometimes you may connect your blender to a power source with no output. A power blackout is possible, especially during stormy weather. The power lines cut and go unreported.

If you have tested and confirmed that there is power in your meter box, call your supplier. They may not be aware of a power outage in your area. Before you start using your blender, check if there is power.

The voltage should be correct. If the output is higher, it will damage your gadgets. A lower than the required level causes the appliance to stay mute. It might show power on but won’t run with a low voltage. Be vigilant on power outages as they cause a surge. Whenever there is a surge, equipment break beyond repair.

  • Faulty power cord

When your power cord is not functioning, there is no way your blender will turn on. Maybe one of the wires is broken. A faulty power cord breaks the electric circuit, so you must test it to determine continuity. The test will tell you if the wires are intact.

Also, a physically broken cord is easy to spot, but the damage occurs inside the insulator, making it challenging to identify. But a voltmeter will do an excellent job of testing for continuity.

Use a different power cord to confirm if the one you were using is faulty. You have to be keen on the voltage to avoid damaging your blender. Get a replacement and fix the wires well to enable your bender to turn on.

  • Blown fuse

When determining power continuity in your appliance, we discussed the plug fuse. But we didn’t feature the importance of a fuse in your device. in simple terms, the item guards your blender against power fluctuations. The power surges come due to changes in the supply station.

An electrical surge is excess voltage output and causes overheating in gadgets. That can blow off the equipment. To eliminate the different temperatures, manufacturers use fuses in electric appliances, more so blenders. Though a guarding device, the fuse can get overwhelmed by excess current and die.

Also, extended usage or extreme heat will cause a fuse to malfunction. When the fuse dies, the blender will not power. Identifying and replacing a dead fuse doesn’t need an expert.

Get a functional fuse from your nearby hardware shop. Switch off your device, unscrew the plug and remove the old fuse. Please insert the new one while ensuring that it lies in the proper position.

  • Overheating Motor

Continuous use of the blender causes the motor to overwork—eventually, the overworking overheat. If you just turned off your appliance and it isn’t turning on, the engine may have overheated. The internal mechanism of your motor needs a rest and enough cooling up to room temperature.

Switch off the power and allow your blender to rest. After the rest and calming down, turn on your blender, and it will work. You can prevent overheating by using your blender appropriately.

Pulping many jugs of smoothies for your restaurant or a dozen guests isn’t fair to your Instant Pot Ace blender. Use your gadget appropriately by keeping the output minimal or as the manufacturer recommends.

  • Quality Of Ingredients

The quality of the food that you blend matters a lot. Unrecommended foodstuff in your blender will not allow turning on, or the machine will not turn on and stop working shortly. For instance, Very thick ingredients are too heavy for your appliance to grind. Get your ingredients lighter by adding water, gravy, or syrup to begin or ease the process.

  • Incompatible Accessories

When replacing broken accessories and parts, ensure the products’ quality. Some unscrupulous dealers sell counterfeit jars, couplers, and other Instant Pot Ace blender accessories to make profits.

Besides failing to turn on, fake products can damage your blender. Also, the material composition may be hazardous for human use. The use of PTFE and BPA is common among many kitchenware manufacturers. The elements are top of the list of harmful products.

  • Faulty appliance

Your blender may be aged. Aging depends on its shell life. Like any other electronics, your blender wears out after a long time. A blender that has been of good service for more than five years may one day fail to turn on.

Even after attempts to fix possible issues, it might not turn on. Or it will perform for a few days and go off. To avoid disappointment, determine the age of your Instant Pot Ace blend and get a new one from a genuine dealer.
