Step one
- Remove the iron grates, racks, and trays and soak them in hot soapy water.
Step two
- Using a sponge or cloth, wipe off all the residues on your cooktop. If there are any dry and sticky food spills, you will have to soak your cookware with a baking soda paste overnight. Don’t worry. The following step teaches you how to make your baking soda paste.
Step three
- Put on your gloves and make the paste by mixing a cup of baking soda with water.
- Smear on the sticky spills and leave the paste for 12 hours (night time would be ideal as you will not require to use the oven)
Step four
- Proceed to clean up the racks in hot soapy water.
- Work on the other parts by wiping with a wet fiber towel or sponge until all the dirt is gone.
Never use abrasives on your oven. They scratch the surface and leave it dull and gloomy.
Step five
By morning, you will find the sticky and greasy substance easy to clean. Its time to work on the stains
Wet the fiber cloth with warm soapy water and wipe. If the sticky parts are still stubborn, you can use a spatula to scrub gently. Wipe the residues.
Step six
Pour the white vinegar into the spray bottle and spray inside the oven. Vinegar leaves your Zline oven sparkling clean and fresh. It also scales off baking soda residues and makes it easy to remove by wiping. Use a sponge to wipe off all the residues from the interior of your oven.
Step seven
- Wipe the oven door in and out, taking care not to break the glass. Clean the knobs and the entire exterior surface.
- Once you finish, wait for your Zline oven to dry up and place back the racks and the grates back.
Soaking your oven overnight means lots of inconveniences the following morning. You have to wake up earlier to clean up the oven and pave the way for breakfast preparations. There is no need for your Zline oven to undergo intensive cleanups if you follow a few tips;
- Wipe your Zline oven after every cooking or baking activity.
- Take care of the spills immediately after they happen to avoid that awful sticky substance that requires an overnight soak.
- Be watchful and avoid distractions while boiling milk, tea, gravy, or any other food that spills after reaching the boiling point.
